At FBC Bullard we believe that Worship matters. It matters to God because He is the one ultimately worthy of all worship. It matters to us because worshiping God is the reason for which we were created. And it matters to every Worship leader, because we have no greater privilege than leading others to encounter the greatness of God.
Although music and other arts are tools we use to Worship God, we believe Worship is not a “musical style”. It is a life style. It isn’t something we do only within the walls of our facility, but it is something we do with our lives. Worship is ongoing within us, the Temples He created to dwell within.
We provide a number of opportunities for people of all ages and from all walks of life to use the gifts God has given them. In using those gifts we see every day how God takes those gifts and inspires them to grow into something none of us can take credit for ourselves. You will hear often here that it is “For the glory of God alone”. That is the motive behind everything we do.
We have a multi-generational approach to our corporate worship. We believe our worship time together unifies the church and is a great opportunity for all of us to come together and focus on the one and only true God. The music we do is progressive but with the purpose of engaging all generations in worshiping God together. We believe excellence honors God and inspires people. We work together in an encouraging environment to achieve that excellence for that very reason.
Service Opportunities
Rehearsals for all positions is weekly starting at 6:30pm, ending at 8pm.
PRAISE BAND - Every Sunday in both services we have a band comprised of mainly Acoustic Guitar, Electric Guitar, Keyboard, Drums, Bass, and Acoustic Grand Piano. Although we have many members that are at different levels of proficiency, it is important to be familiar with chords in different keys and be able to play within a group setting. We have several on rotation to allow members to have some Sundays off.
This position would require a meeting with our Worship Pastor Don before being involved.
PRAISE TEAM - This is a smaller group of vocalist that sing on mic to help lead vocally in Worship. This requires the ability to sing harmony as well as melody and be fairly comfortable finding harmonies on your own. Don leads this group in an early rehearsal each week to iron out parts and give further instruction. This is also a group on rotation.
This position will also require a prior meeting with Don.
PRAISE CHOIR - This is a group of people who love leading vocally and visually in Worship. We believe every person on the platform is an opportunity to connect with someone in the congregation to help engage others in worship. This is why we encourage people of many ages and from all walks of life to consider themselves Worship Leaders. Music each week is provided through email to help in preparation for each service.
Everyone is welcome to begin Choir by attending a Wednesday night Choir practice.
TECH TEAM - This team is comprised of three members for each service. One covers sound, one operates screens, and one operates our Facebook feed. Some knowledge and experience is required for these positions. We operate on a digital board, use the program Pro Presenter for screens and a program for the Facebook feed. Some training will be needed before operating. We provide that training with our current team members.
This position will require a meeting with Don as well.
*In addition to these positions there is room for all creative types to be involved. There are also occasions where we use other instrumentation that would include other instruments as well. We are a flexible, innovative group of worshippers who desire to use all creative gifts to MAGNIFY THE GREATNESS OF GOD!
